The data controller is Aitor Ugarte Gómez, at the contact address given above.
What data is processed, and why
Audience measurement
This site uses Umami, a web analytics tool. Nothing that could identify you is stored in your browser: no cookies, no local storage. You can verify this in your browser's developer tools: the only outgoing connection this site makes is to gateway.umami.is (the delivery of the data listed below; the measurement script is served from this same domain). What is stored is a copy of the page you would see if you went offline, so it can be shown to you (a service worker); that copy holds no data about you.
The following data is processed:
- IP address, processed transiently to derive a non-reversible identifier; it is not stored
- Browser type and operating system
- Page visited within this site
- Referring page or link
- Approximate country
- Browser language and screen size
- Scroll depth, and clicks on the contact and language links
Purpose: to understand how many visits the site receives, how people reach it and which parts are read.
What does not happen: no profiling, no cross-site tracking, no advertising, and no disclosure of data to third parties for commercial purposes. No automated decisions with legal effects are made about you.
Server logs
The hosting provider keeps technical access logs, including IP addresses, for security and service operation.
Legal basis
Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
The interest pursued is understanding, in aggregate, how a personal website is used and keeping it running securely. This interest has been assessed as not overriding your rights: the processing uses no cookies or storage on your device, is not used to identify you, creates no profiles, and is not used for advertising or commercial purposes.
You may object to this processing at any time, using the contact details below.
